Gato doesn't want an easy life. He already has one. Nobody knows where Gato came from. One morning he was on top of the ATM at a Vice City liquor store, and the store has been his ever since. The clerk thinks he owns the place. The clerk is wrong. Another day in paradise, right? His paradise. Everyone in Leonida walks through that door eventually — grifters, crooks, a guy named Jason buying beer. Gato doesn't move for any of them. He never does. That's how you know who's really in charge.
