If x + 1 overflows, the compiler can assume the condition is impossible (since overflow is UB) and optimize away the entire if block or even unrelated code before it! Why It’s Hardcore: Compilers like GCC or Clang can reorder or eliminate code based on UB assumptions, making debugging a nightmare.
